Description
Leonotis leonurus or commonly known as 'Wild Dagga' or 'Lions Tail' is a South African shrubby perennial growing 2-3 meters tall with red, orange, yellow and white tubular flowers (hence the name 'Lions Tail'). It is used by the Hottentot tribe of South Africa as a tea or by smoking. The active compund responsible for the effects of Wild Dagga is called Leonurine and is mostly concentrated in the flower tops.
