Psychotria Viridis is one of the traditional ingredients in the Ayahuasca brew. In ayahuasca P.viridis is combined as an admixture with another plant that has been found to contain MAOI's. This plant is traditionally B.caapi but other MAOI containing plants have been used. Strict dietry requirements are adhered to in the days and hours before and after ayahuasca is consumed ( for more information we strongly suggest you research MAOI dietry requirements and restrictions ).
